The Sunday Times in 2019 called DanTDM one of their Top 100 Influencers in the UK, which is fair considering his YouTube channel has amassed 17.6 million views and 24.5 million subscribers according to the most current numbers.

Quality Materials

The standard material for the GT Omega Pro is reinforced PU leather, but if you’d rather yours is made of fabric, that’s your other option. Regardless of material, the Pro chair features cold-molded foam beneath that molds to your body for a customized, comfortable sitting experience. 

Fun Colors

Admittedly, the fabric chair only comes in one color scheme, black with gray. If you order your GT Omega Pro in PU leather, you can select from a rainbow of colors, including black with neon green, black with purple, black with orange, black with teal blue, black with white, black with red, or all black. 

How Much Does DanTDM’s Chair Cost?

One of the best parts of DanTDM’s gaming chair by far is how reasonably priced it is. The GT Omega Pro costs $259.95 if you buy the chair through GT Omega’s website. That price doesn’t seem to change even if you switch between PU leather or fabric, which is pretty sweet!

Amazon has the chair listed for $239.95, so you can shave a bit off your purchase price. However, the Pro is only available in PU leather, and you don’t get quite as many color combinations as you do when buying through the GT Omega website. 

Should You Buy DanTDM’s Chair?

Now that I’ve filled you in on all the details of DanTDM’s chair, it’s time for you to make a tough choice. Do you buy the GT Omega Pro or should you keep searching for a different chair?

There’s a lot about the GT Omega Pro that should put it high on your list of gaming chairs to consider. For one, that price. Since many popular streamers have such a huge audience, they tend to buy chairs that are way outside of a regular person’s price range. I’m talking about chairs like the Herman Miller Aeron or Mirra 2, both of which are well over $1,000. 

Sure, DanTDM could afford the best gaming chair that money can buy, but in his opinion, that’s the GT Omega Pro. 

The adjustability of this gaming chair isn’t lacking (hello, 4D armrests), the base of the chair is sturdy and secure, and it has PU caster wheels for traveling. The GT Omega logo is emblazoned all over this chair, from the ergonomic cushions to the top of the chair, which is built tall to support more of your body. Your audience will definitely know you’re using the same gaming chair as DanTDM.

I do have to mention one downside. It’s not clear between the Amazon listing and GT Omega’s website whether the Pro chair’s caster wheels are rated for use on hard and soft flooring alike. It may be both or it could be only one; that remains a mystery. That’s not a dealbreaker at all though.

Alternatives to DanTDM’s Chair

You’re probably going to purchase the GT Omega Pro, but before you’re totally certain, you’d like to see some other chairs like the one DanTDM uses. I’ve got you covered. For lookalikes that are in the same price range as the GT Omega Pro, try any of the following three gaming chairs. 

Secretlab OMEGA

The Secretlab OMEGA and GT Omega Pro share more in common than having Omega in their names, as you’re about to see. For example, the Secretlab OMEGA features PU caster wheels too, but theirs are extra-large for rolling over more surfaces with ease.

Secretlab’s wheelbase is ADC12 aluminum, making it akin to the GT Omega Pro. Gussets and ribbing throughout the OMEGA’s wheelbase improve its strength even more. The Class 4 KGS gas pistons should seem familiar as well. According to Secretlab, their hydraulic pistons are approved by ISO9001, ANSI/BIFMA, and TUV LGA standards.

Not skimping on adjustments, you can set up your Secretlab OMEGA using the multi-tilt mechanism. This mechanism is ideal for quickly adjusting your chair angle, reclining, and locking your seat. The backrest of the OMEGA is taller so you can recline all the way back and take a nap. 4D armrests are included as well, and each concave armrest has PU padding. 

You even get ergonomic pillows, two of them. Secretlab’s pillows feature cooling gel as well as memory foam that learns your body’s shape and contours. Speaking of foam, the OMEGA’s cold-cure foam, which is patent-pending, is firm for support but not so firm that it’s hard. 

The PU leather shell features Secretlab’s PRIME 2.0 leather, which boasts durability four times greater than regular ol’ PU leather. You can also order the OMEGA with SoftWeave fabric.

The Secretlab OMEGA is even priced like the GT Omega Pro, as it’s $359 for the chair with the PRIME 2.0 PU leather and $379 for SoftWeave fabric. 

DXRacer Racing Series Gaming Chair

If you’d rather your gaming chair look identical to DanTDM’s but still not be the GT Omega Pro, then feast your eyes upon the DXRacer Racing Series Gaming Chair. Priced at about $300, you’ll almost not believe that it’s not the GT Omega.

The caster wheels, both two inches, are made of sturdy PU. Instead of a steel base, the DXRacer features a nylon base. It also lacks 4D armrests, but its straight 3D armrests will protect your wrists and shoulders from aches and pains. Other adjustments are height settings and tilting. 

The tall backrest and ergonomic pillows (both removable) are very reminiscent of the GT Omega Pro. These pillows even feature the DXRacer logo; the same goes for the headrest. Unlike the GT Omega, the DXRacer has mesh panels that promote breathability. 

GTRACING Gaming Chair 

My last GT Omega Pro alternative is the GTRACING Gaming Chair, which is surprisingly the least expensive of all three at $160. One look at this chair and you’ll do a double-take that its price is so low!

Made for work, play, and everything in between, the GTRACING chair has a metal skeleton that’s more of what you’d expect in a chair like DanTDM’s. The five-point base features tough PU caster wheels accented in the same color as the rest of the chair. 

This chair has adjustments galore. You can set the seat height, swivel 360 degrees, lean the backrest back from 90 to 170 degrees, and rock, which is something the GT Omega Pro can’t even do. The safety degree setting ensures you don’t recline back too far, which is nice.

For your ergonomic support, you get two cushions, one for your lower back and the other for your head and neck. The pillows are made of PU leather just as the rest of this gaming chair is. As you could have guessed, the pillows have a GTRACING logo sewn across. 

Select from all sorts of awesome color combos for the GTRACING gaming chair, including black with white accents, black with purple accents, pink with white accents, black with blue accents, and all black.
